Record

Elliott set a new Personal Best for actually keeping his hat on for any length of time. Sebastian didn't do too badly either. He had only misplaced his shoes by the time we had to leave.

NOT YET!

So much for our 'No cake till you're first birthday' policy. One week until Elliott's birthday and he found a plate within reach with left over Pirate cake. One Week! Granted it was really only a few crumbs and taking into consideration the combined amount still left spread around the carpet and his face I don't think he really ate much but still.......I think that is justification enough for me to still believe that he will have his first piece of cake at his First Birthday Party.

Somehow I get the feeling that Elliot will happily eat his slice of cake and not opt for the Jatz like his brother did four years ago.

Pirate Party

I had my backyard overrun with Pirates, thankfully they were the friendly variety. 'Arr me matey', echoed from the pirate ship as they sailed the seas in search of treasure.

Hoarding treasure seemed to be instinctive. Especially the kind that involved chocolate centres.
Land Ahoy! There be a desert isle ahead, perhaps we can find more treasure?
X marks the spot!

More!

Yes, it is another birthday cake for Sebastian! To be fair, this is 'the one' cake not to be confused with his 'on the day' cake or the 'can't be the only kid not to take cake to Kindy' cupcakes.

And just to finish things off.......

Our Day at Kindy

Sebastian introduced us to the digging pit. Dirt, shovels, water, pipes, rocks and dinosaurs - what more could you want?

Birthday Celebrations at Kindy

Sebastian's Birthday Celebrations continued at Kindy. The cupcakes were inspired by his favorite colour and he dubbed them 'monster cakes'. Quite friendly monsters really and quite delicious too!

Camping Woody Head – See ya later!

Camping Woody Head – Camping delicacies

Elliott discovers baked beans.

Camping Woody Head –Lighting fires

He really wanted to help.

Camping Woody Head – I was there

Camping Woody Head – Boundaries

The wire fencing was strategically placed at exactly Elliott’s eye height from a crawling position. He seemed to get the message that he should stay out of the garden but figured if it was in arms reach it was fair game.

Sebastian also got the hint that you should stay out of the garden.......but some things are far too tempting.

Camping Woody Head – Convincing

Sebastian showed Dino the waves and used encouragingly optimistic words when describing the weather conditions and strategically neglected to use words like ‘gale force winds’ and ‘extreme chill’.

Dino, along with the rest of us, was not convinced that swimming would be an enjoyable experience so Sebastian found a family that were....let’s say.... brave enough.
