Elliott may not of been able to participate at the blinding speeds required to zoom around the velodrome, he did however, perfect the art of dodging the traffic to cross the road.  It repeatedly was a spectacular performance, always guaranteeing a gasp from the audience.

The the local round-a-bout was transformed every evening (and morning and mid afternoon) into the Velodrome.   Serious training took place as they rode in line taking turns at being the leader.  The achieved supersonic speeds becoming nothing but a blurry whirling mass.
